What Goes Into a Thunder Ridge Puppy

Every Thunder Ridge litter starts long before the puppies are born. It begins with thoughtful decisions about structure, temperament, health, and working ability - because we don’t just want to raise good dogs, we want to raise great ones.

Breeding responsibly is a massive investment of time, energy, and resources. We health test our dogs through official organizations, train and title them in sport and working disciplines, and raise our litters hands-on in our home. Titling dogs in sports and competitions isn’t just a badge of honour - it’s a commitment that requires hours of training and thousands of dollars in entry fees, travel, and equipment. But it’s worth it, because it proves our dogs can do the job, and love doing it.

Raising a litter is never a side gig. From prenatal care to puppy matching, we’re involved every step of the way. Our puppies grow up with early neurological stimulation (ENS), socialization, enrichment, and constant observation to help shape them into confident, curious, and well-rounded dogs. Every puppy leaves here with a piece of our heart - and a lifelong commitment from us.

We don’t sell puppies to the first person who asks or based on who can pay the fastest. We choose homes based on what’s right for each pup. That’s why we take the time to get to know you and expect you to do the same with us. This is a partnership, and it starts well before your puppy comes home.
