FAQs
Puppies are matched to their families based on temperament, drive level, and each family’s goals and lifestyle.
This is why families complete an in depth puppy questionnaire and why I spend the entire time the puppies are growing up getting to know their personalities and development, along with temperament assessments as they mature.
It can be easy to fall in love with the puppy who runs up to you first when you meet the litter, but families only see a brief snapshot of each puppy, while I spend hours every day with them over many weeks and get to see the full picture of who they are.
Family preferences are always taken into consideration whenever possible, but final placement is based on what will give each puppy the best chance at success in their new home.
You can read more about the puppy matching process on my Puppy Info page.
I do not collect deposits until puppies are born and families on the waitlist have been contacted and confirmed for that specific litter.
Once puppies arrive, I reach out to families on the waitlist in order to confirm continued interest. At that time, a deposit is required to hold a puppy spot. This allows families to make an informed decision once a litter is actually on the ground and helps ensure that only committed homes remain on the active list.
You can read more about how I handle deposits and the waitlist process on my Puppy Info page.
A waitlist is a way for interested families to reserve a spot in line for a future puppy. It helps us connect with potential homes before the litter is even born, so we’re not breeding “just to see what happens” and then scrambling to find the right families. Instead, we can plan responsibly, get to know each home, and make sure each pup is placed with care.
Most of our litters are spoken for in advance, so waiting until puppies are born often means missing out. Being on the waitlist gives you a much better chance of getting a puppy that suits your goals and timing. It also gives us time to learn more about you, and you get time to follow along with the kennel, ask questions, and prepare for your future pup.
Even if you're not quite ready for a puppy right now, joining early helps us plan ahead with you in mind.
Absolutely! You don’t need to be a pro handler or seasoned dog owner to be a great fit. What matters most to us is that you’ve done your research, understand the breed’s needs, and are ready to put in the time, effort, and energy they require. We’re always happy to help guide new owners who are serious about giving one of our puppies a great life.
Pricing for each litter will be listed on the individual litter page once breeding plans are announced.
The cost of my puppies reflects the health testing, planning, and care that goes into each breeding and into raising each puppy. You can learn more about this on the How We Raise Our Puppies page.
There is no difference in price based on gender or colour.
Pricing may vary slightly between litters due to differences in breeding costs, such as the use of outside stud dogs and additional expenses related to stud fees, semen shipping, storage, and veterinary procedures.
